WSOP Circuit Events

The World Series of Poker Circuit is beginning to wind down in San Diego. The last day of play is scheduled for March 30th. Harrah’s Rincon has played host to the Circuit since March 10th, hosting a grand total of 39 events over that timeframe. The last event scheduled for March 27th has the largest prize structure: a $10,300 buy in No Limit Texas Hold ‘Em match. This event will be televised and is scheduled to take four days to complete. The main event at Harrah’s Rincon was a $1,600 buy in No Limit Hold ‘Em game with a first place payout of $70,384. Up to twenty-one places were paid out.

The WSOP Circuit is a cross-country tour of some of the finest brick and mortar casinos in the U.S. The next stop on the list is Harrah’s St. Louis, where they will play from March 31st until April 12th. 33 games will be contested here and more points for the WSOP championship will be awarded. Currently at the top of the national leaderboard is Brett Schwertley with 175 points. On his way to the top of the list, he won 2 rings and a total of $114,652.

The overall leaders in the WSOP Circuit point race are given a berth in the 2010/2011 WSOP Circuit National Championship at Caesar’s in Las Vegas. This takes place on May 27th, 2011 and the winner will be awarded a Gold Bracelet. There also happens to be a $1 million purse to be won amongst contestants. There are other great prizes such as poker software, apparel, and electronics.
